AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - We are learning more about the events that led to a deadly officer-involved shooting at Northwest 14th and Bonham Sunday.
Amarillo police have identified 41-year-old Dustin Dale Johnson as the man shot and killed by officers.
According to police, Johnson showed up at a home on NW 14th and Bonham Sunday morning.
Police responded to the home around 7:03 a.m. for a disturbance after an open 911 call.
Johnson had already left the home, and no crime was reported at this time.
30 minutes later, deputies with the Potter County Sheriff’s Office responded to a business near U.S. 335 and North Western Street for an attempted robbery.
Investigators said Johnson forced his way into the building and a fight began with the occupant. The occupant fought back, injuring Johnson.
Johnson then left and parked a short distance away.
A second individual arrived, and Johnson returned to the building and shot the two people.
Family and friends have identified them as Aaron Harper and Courtney Holman. They were pronounced dead the scene.
Police say Johnson then returned to the home on Northwest 14th. Here, police say he drove a vehicle into the home and began firing into the house.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and five other people were taken to local hospitals.
Police say 53-year-old Teodoro Garcia-Herrera was killed.

Police have not released the identities of the five other victims.
Around 8:15 a.m., Amarillo police officers responded to multiple 911 calls about a man outside a home wearing body armor and armed with a rifle.
Officers gave Johnson verbal commands to drop his rifle, but police say he began firing at officers.
Officers returned fire, striking him multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ranch House Bar posted a tribute to Holman Sunday night, saying “The best of us got taken away too soon. Truly the BEST. Someone who meant so much to us - not just as a coworker, but as family.”
Johnson has a previous history of arrests in Randall County.
Those charges include a 2007 arrest for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and evading arrest.
He was arrested six times from 2004 to 2007.
