Boat of Ryan Kennedy found at Lake Meredith
FRITCH, Texas (KFDA) - The boat of Ryan Kennedy, who went missing last year, was located Lake Meredith National Recreation Area.
The Ryan Kennedy Search and Rescue reported the boat was found at Lake Meredith, but the search continues for Kennedy.
According to a news release, on Monday, April 13, National Park Service Staff found what looked like it could be a boat at the lake bottom by using a sonar. On Friday, April 17, divers recovered the boat from the lake bottom and verified that it was Kennedy’s boat.
Officials notified his family that his boat has been found.
The search continues for his body, and officials can concentrate that search near the location of where his boat sank.
Lake Meredith National Recreation Area Superintendent Eric Smith would like to remind all visitors to the lake to remember the risks when at the lake.
