Amarillo police identify man killed in crash on South Georgia

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Amarillo police have identified the man killed in a crash on South Georgia Street over the weekend.

Police say the victim was identified as 41-year-old Eric Gilliam. His family has been notified.

Police responded to the crash at 1:05 a.m. on Sunday, July 12.

Police say a car driving north on South Georgia Street ran a red light at Southwest 15th Avenue.

The car crashed into an SUV and a pickup that were driving west through the intersection.

The car continued before crashing into another pickup at South Georgia Street and South Julian Boulevard.

Gilliam was a passenger in the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
