Multiple arrested in Childress hotel solicitation operation
CHILDRESS, Texas (KFDA) - The Childress Police Department led a multiagency operation Thursday and Friday, Nov. 20-21, at a local hotel in Childress.
The initiative targeted the solicitation of prostitution involving both adults and minors.
Officials say the operation was organized and carried out with assistance from the Childress County Sheriff’s Office, the 100th District Attorney’s Office and a professional affiliated with Skull Games Solutions.
Skull Games is an organization specializing in combating sex crimes and exploitation.
Officials say as a result of the operation, several individuals were taken into custody, leading to multiple felony charges related to the solicitation of a 19-year-old woman.
One man was also arrested for solicitation of a minor.
During the investigation, officials discovered that several registered sex offenders in the area were not in compliance with legal reporting requirements.
The Childress County Sheriff’s Office says it will be further investigating and potential prosecution regarding those violations.
