Officials are alerting drivers of various road closures caused by flooding in Dalhart

DALHART, Texas (KFDA) - Dalhart Volunteer Fire Department and TxDOT are alerting drivers of various road closures due to flooding.

The Texas Department of Transportation is alerting drivers of flooding on U.S. 87 in Dalhart.

According to TxDOT, U.S. 87 is closed in both directions at the railroad overpass in Dalhart due to flooding.

Drivers are being detoured to State Spur 24 to U.S. 385 and then back U.S. 87.

Drivetexas.org shows SS 17 also has water over the roadway.

Dalhart Volunteer Fire Department says all highway underpasses are closed due to flooding and asks drivers to be cautious.

The fire department says North Norman and North Jefferson are closed this morning due to water levels.

Officials say do not drive through it, vehicles will get stuck.

The fire department is asking drivers to plan accordingly and allow for extra time.
