Project Clean up continues picking up around area schools

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - In this week’s addition of Project Clean up the Fuller and Sons crew continue pickup areas around elementary school as school is set to begin in just under two weeks.

This week the crew was cleaning in the area near Carver Early Childhood Academy as school is set to begin for Amarillo ISD on August 18th.

This means that some students will be making their way to school by foot, which means making sure our sidewalks, streets and alleyways clean that much more important.

“I’m thankful that I can do my part in helping the community,” says one Fuller and Sons crew member.

The crew worked the areas of Northwest 9th to Northwest 15th Avenues between Hughes Street and North Bonham Street.

They picked up large amounts, mattresses and large tree limbs that can pose a safety hazard to those who frequent the area.

The crew says it’s a privilege

“I feel like a lot of people are stretched thin and not a lot of people can make time. So, being able to take the time and actually do and it feels rewarding,” says another crew member.
