Project Clean Up continues picking up areas around schools

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Project Clean Up crew along with Fuller and sons is doing its part in cleaning up areas around elementary schools as students return to school in just weeks.

In just a few short weeks, kids will be headed back to class and for some that means walking, making it even more important to make sure sidewalks and alleyways stay safe and clean for those students.

“It’s nice to see a company give back to our community. It says a lot about the company and their morals and their standards and their expectations,” says Fuller and Sons crew members. “And if they’re willing to, I guess make a contribution like to help see their city grown. I mean why not support them.”

The crew picked up everything from household furniture to mattresses and everyday trash in the areas of Southwest 5th to Northwest 2nd, in between Georgia and North Mississippi Streets.

The crew members say that things are going well but still have a way to go.

“It’s all good so far, a lot more to do but we’re doing it,” says one crew member.
