Project Cleanup aims at areas near elementary schools

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - In this edition of Project Cleanup, the Fuller and Son’s crew makes strides in cleaning around the San Jacinto neighborhood.

The focus for Project Cleanup right now is cleaning up around elementary schools in order to create a cleaner, safer space for families in the area.

“Cleaner environment, better for the kids to you know get to school. Even if they have to walk, they won’t get hurt. Maybe walking on wood and stuff or just a bunch of nasty things in the streets, mattresses. Safer, a safer way to get to school,” says Fuller and Son’s crew member.

Crew members picked up everything from mattresses and furniture to fireworks and everyday trash.

Another Fuller and Son’s Crew member says “I like that I’m able to help the community, make the whole world look better and look good. And it’s for a good purpose to help everything look good. Amarillo is a good city.”

It takes everyone to keep Amarillo clean.
