AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - A man who led law enforcement officers on a high-speed chase from Claude to Amarillo in February has pleaded guilty in federal court.

Court documents filed yesterday show that Glen “Tuck” Crain, Jr. was the subject of a federal drug trafficking investigation in February when the chase happened.

The documents say that on February 19, officers with Amarillo Police Department began monitoring Crain’s location.

Within the week, officers learned that Crain rented a vehicle and traveled to Fort Worth. When he reached Fort Worth, license plate reader data showed that he only stayed a few hours before heading back to Amarillo.

When Crain reached Claude, a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper attempted a traffic stop on his SUV.

At first Crain pulled over, but he then suddenly took off, “leading officers on a high-speed chase into Amarillo at speeds exceeding 130 mph.”

The documents say that Crain led officers down numerous neighborhood streets and alleyways.

The chase ended in the 1900 block of NW 12th Avenue.

Police identified and arrested Crain as the driver and also arrested his passenger, Lois Spence.

Officers searched Crain’s rental car and did not find any drugs. After a brief search of the area, officers located a duffle bag near an alley by SW 2nd Ave and South Fairmont Street.

Inside the duffle bag was 12.4 pounds of methamphetamines divided up into 10 bundles.

The documents note that a massage gun was found in the duffle bag along with the methamphetamine.

Agents interviewed the SUV’s passenger, Spence, soon after the arrest.

Spence was previously the subject of a search warrant at a home on Tennessee Street in November 2025. Inside the home, authorities say they found “about 422 grams of suspected meth” in Spencer’s bedroom.

In an interview after her arrest in November, she admitted to selling drugs for Crain.

Following the interview with Spence, court documents say that agents searched her phone and located messages between her and Crain about traveling to the DFW area to buy drugs.

These messages prompted authorities to set up surveillance of Crain and Spence’s travel to Fort Worth.

During an interview after her arrest in February, Spence admitted to throwing the duffle bag containing the methamphetamine bundles out the window during the pursuit.

The documents show that Spence explained how she arranged for Crain to purchase methamphetamine and cocaine from a supplier in Fort Worth.

She told agents that the supplier in Fort Worth did not want to deal with Crain directly and that she made a profit of about $1,000 each time she arranged a deal.

Lab results later showed that the methamphetamine had a purity of 99%.

A grand jury indicted Crain and Spence on March 26.

The indictment named a third co-defendant, Cameron King. Court records show that King was arrested and added to the case on April 1.

Court documents show that on February 6, APD learned that King was involved in drug trafficking at the Quality Inn at 1515 Interstate 40.

Officers set up surveillance at the hotel and saw King leave the property in a maroon Lincoln Navigator.

After a short distance, officers observed King commit a traffic violation and conducted a stop near I-40 and Bell Street.

The officers stated they smelled marijuana coming from King’s car and conducted a probable cause search.

During the search, officers found a “broken marijuana cigar” inside the Lincoln and they also found $4,042 in King’s pants pockets.

In an interview after his arrest, King gave officers consent to search his motel room.

The search of his motel room turned up a bag of methamphetamine weighing in at 1.4 pounds.

Another smaller bag weighing 7 grams of meth, scales, and other items used in drug trafficking were located in the room.

King told officers that he had been distributing the drugs for about “six to eight months.”

In the court documents, King says he would get two ounces at a time to sell and that he had recently started getting a pound quantity to sell.

All three defendants are charged with conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine.

King was the first defendant to plead guilty on May 20.

Crain pleaded guilty yesterday.

King and Crain’s sentencing hearings will be scheduled at a later date.

No scheduled court dates for Spence were listed at this time.
