Project Clean-Up: Helping northeast Amarillo, halfway through 2024
AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Project Clean Up is only halfway done in 2024 and this week’s clean up beat the rain and rolled toward northeast Amarillo to help that area.
If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.
No rain but plenty of stuff that was soggy after recent showers that added some weight to items around N.E. 24th.
The kids were back helping fill out the Fuller and Sons crew. By now, they are Project Clean Up veterans and figuring out how to lift stuff as big as they are.
“It’s a little rough but it ain’t too terrible. I think it’ll look better in the trash than on the side of the road,” said Marcos, Fuller and Sons crew leader.
The roll offs were filled quickly as the tonnage continues to mount for the season.
Again, you never know what you might find on these clean ups, and when life gives you lemons, might as well add some onions.
So much furniture, someone must’ve said forget about a garage sale, let’s just get rid of it.
But it wasn’t all fun and games; sometimes it gets kind of yucky.
It’s a nasty job and this crew of three got it done, doing what they do to keep Amarillo beautiful.
