Project Clean Up: Starting February off cleaning up in the North Heights

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - We move into February and it’s all systems go for Project Clean Up!

Tonight, we are in the Heights. An area that we saw as a need and the Fuller and Sons crew took as a challenge.

No sitting around on the job for this crew! Plenty to do for everyone.

A whole lot of stuff including the kitchen sink! Okay, it was a bathroom sink.

The crew made its way from Northwest 9th Avenue in the Heights to several alleys along Tyler and Polk Streets.

The Fuller and Sons crew found so many items that needed to be sent to the roll-offs, and then on to the dump.

This area north of the Boulevard has a lot going on; imagine what the crew was thinking when it came across a burned out home with debris and garbage galore!

That clean up will have to wait another day with more hands on deck.

With several alleys picked up, the crew made its way to the roll-offs at Hines Memorial Park, the first of two trips there.

The unloading process goes much quicker than the loading, so the crew was back in the alleys to continue the clean up.

From Northwest 9th to Tyler, Polk and Harrison Streets... The area saw a major improvement thanks to the Fuller and Sons crew.

Again, they’re doing all they can to make Amarillo and these neighborhoods beautiful.

If you know of a neighborhood that needs to be cleaned up, please let us know here.

Also, remember the roll-offs are for residents and are not for commercial dumping.

Keep in mind, it takes all of us to keep Amarillo clean and beautiful.
