Earthquake concerns on rise in Oklahoma

Edmond, OK -Oklahoma is becoming just as earthquake-prone as California, even getting more than twice as many quakes and many residents are demanding to know why.
Thursday night, hundreds of concerned residents in Edmond showed up at the town hall meeting to talk about all the recent earthquakes and the potential harm they are causing.
Seismologists are now saying that Oklahoma has more quakes than states further west.
Experts even stated that for 30 years now, the state averaged 1.5 quakes a day, but since January, 1st, that number has jumped to 231 earthquakes with a 3 point magnitude or higher.
Experts are investigating whether there is a link between the earthquakes and oil and natural gas drilling operations.
One expert says that those operations should not occur near a fault line, but it still would not explain the cluster of quakes happening where no fracking is taking place and there are no waste water wells.
