This recall is related to a larger recall of frozen organic blueberries produced and sold by Frutas y Hortalizas del Sur S.A. of San Carlos, Chile. The FDA says a total of 17 people were infected with E. coli. between May and August 2026, including six who were hospitalized.
An E. coli infection can cause severe stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting. Some infections may result in a serious complication known as hemolytic uremic syndrome, particularly in young children, older adults and those with weakened immune systems.
