After a fairly quiet weather pattern over the past couple of weeks, storms look to return to the area this afternoon through the evening, some of which could be on the strong to severe side.
Severe Storm PotentialAs temperatures climb into the 90s tomorrow the atmosphere will become energized and as a disturbance moves our way from New Mexico, a round of heavy storms will be possible by late afternoon.

Arctic air has resulted in some bitterly cold weather today including lows below zero, daytime temps in the single digits, and wind chills near 30 below zero at times.
The Panhandle has been reaching triple digits, caused by a low pressure system, leaving the area in the constant struggle of high heat, and very little rainfall.
