Colorado Springs organization works to lower veteran homelessness
UNCW officials have announced there is no validity to circulating rumors of students targeting military members.
Since forming in 2003, the group has raised over $962,000 for organizations like Make-A-Wish, Breakthrough T1D, Carousel Center, Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern North Carolina, and The Children’s Museum.
Freedom Sailing is a nonprofit that takes veterans on the water and teaches them how to sail for free.
All veterans in attendance were also treated to a complimentary meal after the festivities.
