Indicted Judge Back On Payroll

An indicted area judge is back on public payroll even though he's still off the bench.

100th district judge David McCoy originally faced suspension without pay. But he recently won support from the State Commission on Judicial Conduct to take home a paycheck again.

That's according to McCoy's lawyer Bill Kelly. The Childress judge is scheduled for trial in March over accusations of theft by a public servant and abuse of official capacity.
