Fritch student battling cancer passes away
Aaron Hughes passed away after battling osteosarcoma

FRITCH, TX (KFDA) - Aaron Hughes, the Fritch student who has been battling osteosarcoma, has died.

The Facebook page Hope for Aaron posted this morning, saying, "Aaron has passed away at 5:37 this morning. Thank you to everyone for everything. We appreciate it all. This time is needed to be with family and planning the next steps for Aaron."

The 12-year-old has been in the Children's Health Hospital in Dallas, and students from Panhandle High School have been raising money to help his medical and travel expenses.
