Our Perspective on leadership and accepting change

AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - I spoke a few weeks ago about the need for leaders to step up. Since then, I've observed many leaders in this town and around the world do just that and try to move things forward.
In this, I've also witnessed the critics come out in droves against those actions or against the potential for change.
Perspective: How interesting it is to witness or be a part of something that everyone is asking for change or a vision for the future to make things better, but in the end, how hard is it to accept our world changing around us?

When a leader is given authority to make a difference, they should move toward making decisions. That being said, there are tons of pitfalls to consider:
- What is the truth in the matter?
- What is the best solution?
- Is there a perfect solution, or just a better approach for now?
- Should we just stay the same?
- Who is giving advice on the matter, and do they have an agenda?
- When do I have enough information to move forward?
At some point, every one of us makes decisions. I wish mine were better looking back on matters, but I made them with the information I had at the moment.
Leaders are like all of us. They make mistakes, and they should respond quickly once it is a known mistake.
We all see things differently based on our knowledge, personality, and over-all frame of reference.
This is what makes this country great. You are each a leader of your family, job and your life in general.
Let's listen to others more, hear different views and make the best decisions we can moving forward.
We would love to get your feedback.
