AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - With over thousands of vehicles passing through daily, Bushland is booming.

Population numbers have grown into the thousands as residential developments are continuously being built.

Now, the Falcon Center at Prairie West has set out to bring storefronts to the community.

"Any kind of services, from dry cleaners to nail salons, they don't have that in Bushland, so that's the reason we're going to put the Falcon Center in," said Andrew Hall of Falcon Center at Prairie West.

The center will offer over 30,000 square feet of retail and office space with some drive-through and patio areas. Residents on Facebook say they're excited to receive basic neighborhood services.

"Services for real-estate, title companies. financial institutions, the restaurants and dry cleaners. There's several requests that they do not have in that vicinity," said Bobby Hall of Falcon Center at Prairie West.

Ironclad Fitness is the first tenant to sign on.

The owner, who calls Bushland home, says the convenience of the center will be huge for the growth of the community.

"A lot of people have a half-hour workout and it takes them nearly an hour to drive to the gym and back," said Owner of Ironclad Fitness Ronnie Ennis. "If we get a coffee shop, or something like that, a lot of people just want to grab a coffee or something like that because we have a lot of people in Bushland that actually work from the home."

With the rise of Bushland ISD, the Falcon Center says those who head to Bushland for sporting tournaments will have more places to go.

"In between games they don't have anything to do," said Andrew Hall of the Falcon Center at Prairie West. "We got a lot of people saying, 'Wow that would be great, so we could take our kids to an ice cream shop,' or whatever we can get out there."

Spaces at the Falcon Center are available to lease now. They're hoping to break ground in January and open in the Fall of 2018.
