Officials said there is a possibility that water service may be lost for up to 24 hours, but there is no indication when that may happen.
The city said if service is shut down, drinking water will be brought in for the residents of Paducah.

AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - Paducah Mayor Gordon Melton says citizens of Paducah and Cottle County are under a water boil notice.
A water main that broke on Monday prompted the notice, which means that all citizens must boil their water prior to consuming it or cooking with it.
The water is set to be turned off Monday afternoon, but once service is restored, residents will still be required to boil the water until further notice.
