AMARILLO, TX - One man has been arrested on reports of stolen packages from resident's front porches.
20 year old Nicholas Whipkey was arrested Wednesday by APD officers on two counts of theft property after police received a tip that he may have been taking packages from front porches.
Reports of stolen packages back in September sparked the investigation that lead to his arrest.
While Whipkey was in custody, police found a loaded handgun in his front pocket. According to reports, Whipkey is a convicted felon and is not allowed possession of a firearm.
Whipkey was taken to Potter County Correction Center on charges of a felon in possession of a firearm.
