Late night motorcycle accident injures four

Amarillo, TX - Police are investigating a late night motorcycle accident. It happened around 10:15 last night near the 1900 block of Interstate 40.
Officials say two people riding a motorcycle were traveling West on the highway and hit the back of a white Chevy Tahoe. Both passengers on the motorcycle were transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries. The two passengers in the Tahoe suffered minor injuries.
Police have identified 26 year old Tyrrell Joshua Boehning of Amarillo as the driver of the Kawasaki motorcycle involved in the accident. 23 year old Brandyn Dane Garrett of Amarillo has been identified as the passenger on the motorcycle.
62 year old Susan Bastille Chavez was the passenger in the Tahoe who suffered minor injures.
Officers believe speed and alcohol may have been factors in the accident. Garrett was not wearing a helmet at the time of the wreck.
The accident is still being investigating by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department.
