The ‘Together We Can Food and Fund Drive’ helps many programs the High Plains Food Bank offers such as, The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP).
We are proud to partner with the High Plains Food Bank yet again this year for the Together We Can Holiday Food and Fund Drive, an annual effort to help feed nearly 10,000 hungry families in the Texas Panhandle during the holidays.
To help the fight against hunger in our area, Newschannel10 will team up with the High Plains Food Bank and Market Street United for the annual food drive next week.
The Kids Café program at the High Plains Food Banks has been working to feed those children in our area, even with the many challenges the program is facing because of the pandemic.

This year, one in four children in the Texas Panhandle are facing food insecurity. The High Plains Food Bank’s Kids Cafe fights childhood food insecurity, providing meals to schools, clubs and aftercare programs.
The High Plains Food Bank is providing families in need with rice, vegetables, and other necessities. And thanks to The Garden, the food bank is also teaching people how to grow it themselves.
The high plains food bank not only helps struggling families by giving them boxes of food, the organization also offers social services assistance, helping people in need receive food stamps and medicaid.
Although the Together We Can Food and Fund Drive occurs in Amarillo, the High Plains Food Bank helps families from across the golden spread, working with at least one agency in all 29 counties across the panhandle.
