Ralph Cooper is the Sports Director for KFDA NewsChanne10.
He was born and raised in Blair, South Carolina where he attended Fairfield Central High School and accepted a full athletic scholarship to play football as a middle linebacker at the University of Illinois.
As a former student athlete, he knows firsthand how much work it takes to be successful in both high school and college and his goal is to display all of the work local student athletes put in on and off the field.
Before moving to Amarillo, Ralph worked at WLTX in Columbia, S.C. where he covered the University of South Carolina Gamecocks Men’s and Women’s basketball NCAA tournament runs in 2016 & 2017, the Clemson Tigers National Championship over Alabama & Coastal Carolina’s College World Series victory.
Ralph takes pride in building positive relationships with coaches, players, and members of the community and is excited to cover all of the great sports and student athletes the Texas Panhandle has to offer.

The San Jacinto Patriots had a good season last year but lost the bulk of their team with the graduation of seniors. Now the Patriots are focused on doing all of the little things right in order to maintain their success.
As the Amarillo Bulls prepare to celebrate their 10th anniversary next season, they’ll be doing it without Denis Puska who has served as the Voice of the Amarillo Bulls & Director of Media Relations for the last nine years.
