Katie Main became part of the KCBD team in December 2018. She is excited to continue living and working in her college town.
Katie was born and raised in Cypress, Texas and grew up watching Houston-area news before moving to Lubbock to pursue higher education. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Electronic Media & Communications.
During her time at Tech, Katie discovered a passion for local news. Through internships and participation in the student newscast, she found interest in stories about local government and community issues that affect everyday people.
She is excited to continue meeting and telling the stories of people in Lubbock.
