All Things Ag discusses Avian Influenza and the NWSW battle

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) -In this edition of All Things Ag we spoke with the Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine on how producers are battling both the New World screwworm (NWSW) and Avian Influenza in Texas.

Dr. Clint Roof explains that they have biosecurity plans for both threats, and how they will carry out these actions of biosecurity.

“We want to look closely at the cattle. We want to try to have early detection, limit movement or at least be aware of movement of animals and then try to continue to maintain communication with the veterinarian that is overseeing those animals” Roof explains.
