AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Amarillo Wranglers have ten games left in the North American Hockey League regular season, and they currently sit sixth in the South Division which is two spots back from a playoff berth.

The Wranglers hold a (24-23) record going into their two-game weekend series against the El Paso Rhinos. Amarillo is (6-0) against El Paso this season, winning three of those game by only one goal. The Rhinos are a young team that is last in the division, and Amarillo needs a sweep to close the gap on the playoff hunt.

”We’re getting healthy now, everyone is back and we’re all hungry for the playoffs so I think we’re all just working harder than ever,” said Aidan Carney, Wranglers center. “Defensively we’re much better, but we’ve got of to good starts the past couple of games and we’re good on the forecheck. We just play hard for the full 60 minutes. We need these points for the playoff push, so it would be great if you guys could be there.”

The Wranglers and Rhinos drop the puck at 7:05 p.m. on Friday at Saturday in the Amarillo Civic Center.
