State health officials reports 29 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths in Eastern New Mexico

CDC recommends masks in public settings

SANTA FE, N.M. (KFDA) - State health officials reported 29 new cases of COVID-19 in Eastern New Mexico counties today.

The report shows 15 cases in Curry County, seven new cases in Quay County, seven new cases in Roosevelt County.

The report also show two death in Curry County:

  • A man in his 50s from Curry County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A woman in her 70s from Curry County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.

Including the newly reported cases, New Mexico has now had a total of 198,576 COVID-19 cases.

The number of deaths of New Mexico residents related to COVID-19 is now 4,083.

As of today, there are 138 individuals hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19.

183,813 people in New Mexico have recovered from the virus.

There are 7,781 positive COVID-19 cases across Eastern New Mexico:

Quay County: 466

Roosevelt County: 1,929

Union County: 250

There have been 147 deaths related to COVID-19 in Eastern New Mexico:
