Moisture Ending Overnight

Weather with Cameron Venable 1/24

Nice to see that we ended up with some rain in Amarillo. The big winners as expected were the East & SE Panhandle. Much of the area saw at least some precipitation which isn’t bad for a hit or miss thunderstorm event. Looking ahead, rain & thunderstorms will leave the area after midnight. Still watching the potential of wrap around wintry precipitation for the Northern zones especially SW KS & the OK Panhandle. Monday looks a bit warmer with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Northern zones will stay on the cooler side, highs in the 30s & 40s. We’ll notice some clouds during the morning then gradual clearing. It will also be a bit breezy by late day.

Currently watching two storm systems for this week. One on Tuesday which will likely bring colder temperatures & cloud cover although we could see some wintry precipitation. The other storm system is slated for Friday into Saturday. As of right now, looks more of a wind event with rain chances South of our area.
