A cold front blowing into our area this morning will bring cooler temperatures and strong winds with it for the majority of the area today. As the front rolls through, expect winds in excess of 25-30 mph sustained with gusts close to 50 mph in some places, stronger off to the east, weakening as you move west. Wind advisories and some red flag warnings are in effect due to the winds that could cause blowing dust and fire danger. Temperatures will be cooler today, with a high of only about 49 degrees and an overnight low of 25. Winds will be sticking around through Friday before backing off.
