AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Amarillo police arrested three people over the weekend after a suspicious vehicle investigation.
On Sunday, January 10, police were called to the 6500 block of East Amarillo Boulevard on a suspicious vehicle believed to be stolen.
When officers arrived, they saw two men run into a house.
Police say they found two vehicles that were stolen from Moore County, and the Panhandle Auto Burglary and Theft Unit was called in to assist.
Police tried to get the two men out of the house, and the PABTU wrote a search warrant to gain entry into the house.
Police were then able to arrest 29-year-old Jose Alonzo Garcia Maldonado and 36-year-old Xavier Carlos Rodriguez for theft of property and outstanding warrants.
The two men were booked into the Potter County Jail.
Police also arrested 39-year-old Adele Madero Figueroa for outstanding warranted and booked her into the Randall County Jail.
During the search of the two stolen vehicles, police found tools, an air compressor, gas canisters for a welder, a propane bottle and other stolen property. Police say the items are valued around $97,000.
Apparent cash counterfeiting equipment and counterfeit money were also seized.
The investigation is ongoing.
