Today, the Amarillo Fire Department rescues pet from a burning home near NE 22nd, according to press release.

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Today, the Amarillo Fire Department rescues pet from a burning home near NE 22nd, according to press release.

First arriving units reported smoke coming from the front of the house.

Crews then made entry into the house and quickly extinguished a fire in a front bedroom, the estimated dollar loss was $5000, according to release.

One pet was rescued from the home and was doing well.

The Amarillo Fire Marshal’s Office was called to the scene and the fire is under investigation.
