Build Amarillo PAC releases statement on defeat of Proposition A

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Build Amarillo PAC released a statement on the defeat of Proposition A.
As of 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night, the results show 77,887 votes against the proposition and 49,803 for the proposition.
The results show 61 percent of residents voted against the proposition, and 39 percent of votes were for the proposition.
Although Prop A did not pass, thousands of people believed in this critical project and voted in favor of redeveloping the Civic Center. This proves that Amarillo residents are ready to take our town to the next level. It’s extremely unfortunate we won’t be doing that in the near future because we have great momentum in Amarillo right now.
