AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - A Tuesday shooting has turned into a homicide investigation after a man died from his wounds.

Amarillo Police Department Sgt. Carla Burr said 45-year-old Demond Thomas died yesterday from his injuries.

Tuesday evening, Thomas was found with a gunshot wound in the area of Northeast 24th Avenue and Echo and was taken to a hospital.

Now, the APD Homicide Unit is asking for help in locating a red Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo that has tinted windows.

Two men were in the Jeep and had fired handguns at Thomas’ vehicle as they drove eastbound on 24th.
