Fire in Roberts County spans 1,500 acres, 95% contained

ROBERTS COUNTY, Texas (KFDA) - Lightning may be to blame for a range fire in the Panhandle that is now considered to be 95 percent contained.

The 1,500 acre fire broke out Wednesday evening about 20 miles north of Pampa.

The Texas A&M Forest Service responded to assist with the fire, along with members of the Pampa Fire Department assisting four local volunteer departments.

No structures are believed damaged at this time, and there have been no injuries.
