AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - Amarillo police, along with Potter and Randall Counties, will honor fallen law enforcement officers this week at the Wreath Memorial Ceremony on May 15.
The ceremony, which falls on National Peace Officers Memorial Day, will include the laying of a memorial wreath to commemorate those officers who have died in the line of duty.
Combined honor guards from APD, as well as both counties, will be present at the event.
Accompanying the wreath ceremony will be bagpipes, a 21-gun salute and the playing of Taps.
The ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. at Llano Cemetery East.
The public and all peace officers are invited to attend.
