CLOVIS, NM (KFDA) - Friday moring around 10:43 a.m., Clovis police were dispatched to Payment 1 Financial at 1500 N. Prince St. on an armed robbery call.
Victims say the suspect walked into the business, demanded money and threatened to “shoot” the workers.
During the robbery, the suspect was brandishing what appeared to be a black semiautomatic handgun.
After stealing money and property the suspect fled the area.
Neither of the victims sustained any injuries during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a light complected male approximately 5’8” tall, 200 lbs.
He was wearing a dark blue jacket, light blue button up shirt, gray dress slacks, black dress shoes, wearing a glove on his left hand, and a light gray in color “newsboy” style flat cap hat.
Officers searched the area for the suspect, but did not locate him. Clovis detectives are investigating this crime.
