AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - If you’re working on planning your family’s Easter weekend, we have a round up of Easter events happening around the Panhandle:

Easter at the Ballpark

Paramount Baptist Church will host Easter at the Ballpark on Sunday, April 21.

The community is invited to the first ever non-baseball related event at the ballpark for celebration and worship.

Gates will open at 9:15 a.m. and the service will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Amarillo Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Egg Hunt

Sunday, April 21, 11:45 a.m. - Egg hunt for ages 10 and below.

Shi Lee’s BBQ and Soul Food Café Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Shi Lee’s BBQ and Soul Food Café will host their annual Easter egg hunt on Sunday, April 21 at Bones Hooks Park.

The event is free, but Easter related donations are accepted.

Food will be available at 1:00 p.m., and the Easter egg hunt begins at 3:00 p.m.

The event will have thousands of eggs with about 5,000 toys.

Easter EGG-citement!

The Amarillo Zoo will host the 9th Annual Easter EGG-citement event on Saturday, April 20.

From 9:20 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., you’re invited to explore the zoo and receive candy-filled Easter eggs from costumed characters.

There will also be photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny, face painting and more!

Admission is $5 per person.


The Discovery Center will host their annual EGGSTRAVAGANZA on Saturday, April 20.

From 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., guests can participate in EGG-tivities.

From the Egg Scramble, to face painting to a Meet N Greet with animal friends, there will be something for each kid to enjoy.

Admission is $8 for members and $11 for non-members.

Chaperons are free.

Amarillo Venom Easter Egg Hunt

The Amarillo Venom will host an Easter Egg Hunt after the game on Saturday, April 20.

The Easter Egg Hunt is free with more than 5,000 eggs available to hunt.

The game starts at 2:00 p.m. and gates open at 1:00 p.m.

Good Friday and Easter Services at “The Cross” in Groom

The public is invited to Good Friday Services at “The Cross” in Groom.

On Friday, April 19, there will be services from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

  • 1:00 p.m. Scriptural Rosary - Jim Lummus of Pampa
  • 2:00 p.m. Stations of the Cross - Father Raj of Groom, assisted by Mary Lane of Pampa
  • 3:00 p.m. Prayers of Divine Mercy - Kay Britten of Groom

There will also be a Sunrise Easter Service at “The Cross” in Groom.

The community is invited to celebrate with refreshments and fellowship at 7:00 a.m.

The service will be held by Reverend Dr. Jerry Lane of White Deer.

“The Cross” is located at Texas Exit 112.
