AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - The Amarillo Bulls, Amarillo Youth Hockey and the Amarillo Sod Poodles announced on Monday that they will be partnering up for a jersey auction taking place on Saturday night where the Bulls will wear Sod Poodles themed jerseys in honor of the new team.
On Monday afternoon, the Amarillo Hockey Association announced that they have teamed up with the Sod Poodles for a jersey auction. The Bulls will host the Odessa Jackalopes this Saturday at the Amarillo Civic Center where the Bulls’ jerseys will be Sod Poodles themed, as an ode to the new team.
“Amarillo Youth Hockey is very honored to have the opportunity to raise money through a jersey auction provided by the Amarillo Bulls for the ninth consecutive season,” said Amarillo Hockey Association Executive Director Austin Sutter. “We are thrilled to represent the Sod Poodles baseball team in this year’s design to honor their inaugural season and to have the platform to bring the sports community together to raise funds for youth athletes in our community.”
Fans will only get to see these one-of-a-kind jerseys on Saturday, March 16. The jersey auction will take place in The Corral immediately following the Bulls game, with all proceeds benefiting the Amarillo Hockey Association.
“Professional sports is all about teamwork and giving back to our local community and we are happy to partner with Bulls hockey to promote the positive benefits that professional sports can provide here in Amarillo and the Panhandle,” said Sod Poodles President and General Manager Tony Ensor.
Amarillo Sod Poodles season ticket holders will receive a special discount price to attend Saturday’s game as part of this unique partnership.
Tickets are available at the Bulls’ office located at 301 South Polk, the Civic Center Box Office, any Panhandle Ticket locations or online.
