FRITCH, TX (KFDA) - Applications are now available for the Youth Conservation Corps summer youth work program, conducted by the Lake Meredith National Recreation Area.
Lake Meredith is looking to hire four students, aged between 15 and 18 for their eight-week summer youth program under the authorith of the Youth Conservation Corps through the National Park Service.
The program will run from May 26 to July 28. Those interested in the program must be available to work the entire time.
Enrollees will work 40 hours per week at $9.00 an hour.
Work includes roadside maintenance, removal of brush and debris, cleaning and rehabilitation of campsites and more.
Enrollees are required to provide their own leather work boots and jeans, but work shirts, hard hats and other necessary safety equipment will be provided.
Those interested can pick up an application beginning February 13 until March 29.
Applications can be picked up at Lake Meredith National Recreation Area Headquarters at 419 East Broadway in Fritch.
