AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - The cause of an early Monday north Amarillo fire is under investigation.

Around 3:30 a.m., Amarillo Fire Department received reports of the smell of smoke near the 80 block of North Bowyer in Amarillo.

Crews arrived at the scene and noticed fire coming from the roof of an abandoned home on the block.

According to firefighters at the scene, the home was unoccupied and no one was injured.

The fire is being investigated by the Amarillo Fire Marshal.

The amount of damage done to the home is unknown.
