AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - One person was taken to the hospital following a collision between a semi truck and another vehicle Wednesday morning on U.S. 60, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The wreck happened around 6 a.m. in the eastbound lane at Avenue B. The semi overturned as a result of the crash.

DPS did not confirm the identities of those involved, but said the person transported to the hospital did not sustain life-threatening injuries.

The crash shut down the highway’s eastbound lanes for the next four hours as officials cleared the scene.
