Amarillo lane closures for November 29 to December 2

AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - The Texas Department of Transportation has issued various lane closures happening until Sunday.

Starting tomorrow morning, I-40 will have rolling lane closures for repairs.

TxDot said maintenance crews will be repairing potholes on I-40 in both directions.

TxDot said to watch for rolling lane closures at the downtown Amarillo interchange between Washington and Grand streets.

The repairs will begin at 9:30 a.m. and is said to only take an hour.

TxDot also said exit 123 from I-27 northbound will be closed tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for mill and fill operations.

Traffic needing to access I-40 westbound will have to detour north on I-27/US 87 to Fillmore Street, east on 11th Avenue, south on Pierce Street, and then west on I-40.

Eastbound I-40 traffic will also follow this detour and will need to turn around at Washington or Crockett streets.

This Saturday and Sunday, 26th Avenue will also be closed underneath I-27 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day for painting.
