Death Penalty To Still Be Sought For King

An accused murderer will still go to trial in Gray County despite reports he is willing to plead guilty.

A Missouri mitigator working for the defense says Levi King is willing to plead guilty to murder if the state waives the death penalty.

We spoke with the Gray County District Attorney's office today, and they say Lynn Switzer still intends to seek the death penalty in the case.

King is accused of the 2005 murders of four people in the county, including a pregnant woman.

Jury selection begins in June.
