Stimulus money to help Panhandle families with high energy bill

More than $4.2 million from the national stimulus package is slated to help families in our area pay their energy bills.

That money goes to four different agencies in our area that serve 32 counties in the panhandle region.

The funds will help qualifying households pay their energy bills while providing them with the education needed to reduce their dependence on future government assistance.

Local services providers accept application for assistance and determine eligibility.
