Amarillo police investigate circumstances in unusual shooting

An Amarillo man has a gun shot wound to the head but he doesn't know how it happened.

Amarillo Police are now trying to piece together the circumstances of the mysterious shooting that happened at the victims home on Imperial Trail Friday (Feb. 27). 

The man was found lying in his bed with a pool of blood around his head.

Police say they found a spent shell casing but could not locate the gun.

There was no suicide note at the scene and police say they do not have any suspects.
