Oil fire between Masterson and Dumas

A large oil fire between Masterson and Dumas created smoke so thick and black you could see it for miles away.

The fire happened at a tank battery in an oil field on Wednesday.

The company uses the tanks to store crude oil as they pump it from the ground.

The blaze became so intense they needed tanker trucks of water help extinguish the fire.
