China Christians

BEIJING (AP) _ A U.S.-based Christian group says police in central China have raided a private evangelical seminar and detained more than 60 worshippers.

The China Aid Association says the raid happened last Wednesday in Nanyang and that four of those rounded up are still being detained. China's communist government allows worship only in state-supervised churches, which claim about 11 million members. Christians and clergy in unofficial churches are regularly harassed and detained.
