Red Flag Warning in effect for 22 Panhandle counties

The high winds along with drought conditions, low humidity, and warmer temperatures prompted the National Weather Service to issue Red Flag Warnings in 22 Panhandle counties.

This means you cannot burn anything outside.

If you are caught violating the warning you could face fines of up to $1,000.

This is a critical warning for firefighters in our area.

They could increase the number of firefighters on duty and move equipment around to better deal with the high risk of wildfires.
