Officials believe they now know what caused a massive fire just east of Skellytown.
The high winds on Saturday most likely affected a power line which then caused sparks that ignighted the 6400 acre fire.
20 Volunteer Fire Departments from around the Panhandle were on hand to help fight the fire that burned parts of Hutchinson, Roberts, Cason and Gray.
The Texas Forest Service assisted on Saturday with two bulldozers and an airplane from Abilene.
The fire started around 12:30 Saturday afternoon and crews believed they had it fully contained at about six in the evening. But shifting winds sparked a fire that burned a few extra acres Sunday morning.
